After decades of being a graduate student and then a professor in higher education, Dr. Janssen became ever more disillusioned and frustrated with the status quo of education in the U.S. The skyrocketing price of tuition, the ballooning student loan debt figures, and the chasm between higher education and the work world created a perfect storm that left students in a precarious position post-graduation. She set out to create a superior learning experience that leverages cutting edge technology, focuses on contemporary skill sets that are in demand in the workplace today, and prioritizes student outcomes.

Edstutia was developed with the student at the center of it all. It is an online, modular learning platform positioned at the intersection of business and technology. The content is driven 100% by workplace demands and vetted by an Academic Advisory Board comprised of professionals who represent a variety of industries and sectors. By teaching students relevant skills and reshaping their mindset about business today, the ultimate goal is for students to not only land well-paying, desirable jobs, but to also bring value to an employer from day one.

Experiential learning is at the heart of Edstutia – from engaging, hands-on projects in the ‘classroom’ to immersive experiences in AR/VR to our 21st century apprenticeship program.
